September 2024 round up
Moving into autumn, here is what we have been up to in September.

September 13th:
Pendulum painting done differently. Shaving foam painting. What a success! Happy rainbows. Happy leaders.
September 15th:
1st and 4th Shirley Guides had a great weekend completing a Monopoly Challenge in London, and then archery and paddle boarding at Pinewood Scout Centre.
September 17th:
1st New Addington brownies created lifts. They had the best time and every single one worked. Engineers in the making. Well done brownies.
September 23rd:
This term 1st Shirley Rainbows are becoming Scientists/Physicists. We welcomed 6 new raindrops and our amazing young leaders ran a getting to know you parachute activity. We also made these cute promise caterpillars. This week it’s Slippery slopes and making these skiers …. ok so there’s no snow at the moment but all this rain makes it slippery right??
September 25th:
We are working on the LaSER Cluedo challenge this term. Girls had a fun evening doing rope activities.
We learnt several knots, edible knots, friendship bracelets, Cats cradles and a knot fortune teller.
September 25th:
6th SUN rainbows were busy with part 2 of the Drawing interest badge…self portraits and drawing with their feet.
September 26th:
Sanderstead and South Croydon Brownies and Guides had an amazing evening touring the Houses of Parliament with Chris Philp MP and his team. The Brownies impressed Chris with their history and Parliament knowledge! An amazing experience that everyone will definitely remember!
September 26th:
Looking at other countries this term and making our passport, the girls are each bringing a cuddly toy in with them next week.
