Awards
Do you think someone has been working especially hard for the girls or leaders in your area? If you think someone deserves special recognition as they have been going that extra mile, then please think about nominating them for an award.
All you need to do is pass nominations to your Commissioner or directly to the County Awards Committee using the link below (the nominee must not be aware). We need their name and a description of why you think they deserve an award. The committee will take the nomination forward, decide on the appropriate award and ensure a consistent standard is applied to nominations. We may come back to you for more information but if supporting documentation is required, we will obtain that on your behalf.
Nominations will be considered for the following reasons:
- Exceptional service in a role.
- Taking on an extra responsibility in addition to the nominee’s usual role.
- Taking a major role in the planning and delivery of a Division or County event.
- Other exceptional service.

In addition to the national awards, there is a Region Chief Commissioner’s award and we also have two County awards:
- County Good Service Award (County Thanks Badge) – given by County for excellent service specifically awarded by the County Commissioner.
- County Brooch (new) – given by County for continued excellent service where a Girlguiding Good Service Brooch and/or County Good Service Award has already been presented.
