Is it that time already? Time to show you what we have been up to in January.
16th January: An evening of challenges…. Numbers memory game, keep balloon in the air while putting on clothes, catch the tube on the broomstick, get through A4 paper without tearing and O’s n X’s on jam on toast.

18th January: Fantastic quiz night at The Radcliffe Centre raising funds for Radcliffe to improve/replace the lighting in the main hall. Thanks to Kim and team for organising, we look forward to the next one.

28th January: We are working our way through careers with the Network Skills builder. We sarted exploring our dream jobs and brought in objects to represent them, Played Happy Families and Careers bingo – Guess my job last week. This week we looked at the money challenge with a speaker, Natasha, from the Money Charity.

28th January: Today we’re on the estate agent theme, still on the network skills builder. We’ve played room tetris, a guessing game, charades and designed our for sale sign. Next week we’re meeting a chef!

29th January: Pamper evening. Hand masks made and nails painted. Guides had a great evening.
30th January: As part of our Cluedo themed term we visited the Ballroom and had a great line dancing evening with our young leader, including cowboy hat cakes.

31st January: One of our fantastic volunteers showed Guides in Shirley what their role in forensics is all about. They learnt how items were dusted to get fingerprints, how shoe prints are taken, and even learnt how luminal would show up blood even if someone had tried to clean it up. Guides and leaders both had a fantastic time learning all about this role.
