All you need to do is pass nominations to your Commissioner or directly to the County Awards Committee using the link below (the nominee must not be aware). We need their name and a description of why you think they deserve an award.

The committee will take the nomination forward, decide on the appropriate award and ensure a consistent standard is applied to nominations. We may come back to you for more information but if supporting documentation is required, we will obtain that on your behalf.

Nominations will be considered for the following reasons:

• Exceptional service in a role.
• Taking on an extra responsibility in addition to the nominee’s usual role.
• Taking a major role in the planning and delivery of a Division or County event.
• Other exceptional service.

Given for excellent service specifically awarded by the county commissioner.

Given for continued excellent service where a Girlguiding Good service brooch and/or County Good Service award has already been presented.

This is a Girlguiding London and South East England region award. It’s a brooch for a young person who has done something exceptional, as well as being a committed member of Girlguiding.

This is a Girlguiding London and South East England region award. It’s a brooch for inspirational volunteering. It is awarded to exceptional volunteers that go above and beyond within the region.

This is a nationwide Girlguiding award. It’s a woven badge, or pin that can be given as thanks for a volunteer’s support. A certificate can be given with this award too.

This is a nationwide Girlguiding award. It’s a brooch to recognise excellent service to Girlguiding. There’s also a certificate that is given with it.

This award is to show appreciation to members or friends of Girlguiding who have done something wonderful that has in some way helped others. Heroes can be of any age. They can be members or friends of Girlguiding, and there are a wide range of reasons why you can nominate a Girlguiding Hero, including a special fundraising effort, supporting an individual or member of the community, supporting local guiding, showing fantastic citizenship, coping with adversity and more!

An award for young members who act as an exceptional role model, or have shown great resilience or initiative in response to an emergency situation. This is an Association award for any active, exceptional young member of Girlguiding, up to their 19th birthday, who meets the criteria.

The Laurel Award is a Girlguiding award given in recognition of outstanding service to guiding. This award may be given to an active adult member of Girlguiding.

The Silver Fish Award recognises what a member has achieved across the breadth of Girlguiding. This is Girlguiding’s highest honour so only a few awards are given each year. Girlguiding members can nominate exceptional volunteers for a Silver Fish award by submitting an application.
