Guiding in Croydon continues through the summer, and here are some of the things we have been up to in July:
1st July:
Congratulations to volunteer Judith Mitchell who received her 60 years service award.

A messy but great fun tonight at 1st Shirley (St John’s) Rainbows with ‘Fajita Fun’ (Live Smart SB 2) after a quick gathering game of ‘greengrocers’ aka sweetshop but with fajita ingredients!!
4th July:
The 14th Coulsdon Brownies and guides were set the challenge of building the Eiffel Tower from 4 skewers,spaghetti cocktail sticks,marshmallows and popcorn with a time limit of 25 minutes.
10th July:
Crazy golf at Sparrows Den this evening, we discussed the Left over Legends challenge then the Guides had fun spinning round and round, trying to race each other without falling over 
11th July:
At rainbows 
we learn about how things go slower and faster depending on what they are made of. The baking tray was a slide, and the girls got to slide objects down, even pretending they were on that slide.

Great day out at Chessington World of Adventures.
21st July:
Spitfire Rangers enjoyed a lovely end-of-term treat, a special cupcake workshop – combining a request for learning how to decorate cupcakes and flower arranging! 
The heat made things a little challenging

8th Purley Brownies and Spitfire Rangers have enjoyed camp for the last few days at Little Acres, in Horton Country Park, Epsom.
