April 2025 round up

Spring has definitely sprung, and girlguiding Croydon has been busy, although the Easter holiday made it a shorter month.

1st April – 1st Shirley Rainbows had an April Fools backwards night for our final meeting of term tonight with lots of laughs and jokes. Finished off with lots of badges and awards including 15 Theme awards, 5 Bronze and 3 Silver Awards!!

2nd April – Guide Easter Challenge 2025

2nd April – We made history on the last night of term at 9th Coulsdon Brownies:  3 girls achieved their Gold Award. Congratulations to Amber, Olivia and Phoebe.

10th April – 1st Shirley (St John’s) Rainbows and a couple of Brownies from 6th Shirley enjoyed a Pamper Sleepover at Radcliffe …. perhaps wasn’t so much of a pamper for the leaders 🤣

We had 12 overnight and 6 arrive for the day and always nice to receive lovely messages after.

19th April – 10th South Croydon Guides and 8th South Croydon Brownies (St Augustine’s) had a lovely couple of days on a ‘Secret mission’ at Frylands. The Guides were camping and the Brownies inside. Great fun was had by all!

28th April – St George’s Day activities at Guides. Paper roses, quiz and recycled dragons.

 28th April – 8th South Croydon Brownies had a great night making monsters! The next group had to replicate the monster using their instructions. Think it turned out well! We also made up a song and had some fun playing ‘disappearing friends’ and ‘sole mates’.
