Bocketts Farm 1st Shirley

Pig racing, a tractor ride, feeding the lambs, petting a rabbit, chicken and guinea pig, seeing horses, goats, alpaca’s and much more! 16 rainbows and 6 leaders from 1st Shirley Rainbows joined over 130 Rainbows from across Girlguiding Croydon County at Bocketts Farm on Saturday 18 May.

For some it was the 1st time they’d travelled on a coach and were amazed ‘they passed their house’! When asked what their favourite part of the day was, feeding the lambs, the tractor ride and the pig racing came top, closely followed by the shop and lunch!! When one mum asked what animals she saw, she said “Every animal in the whole world!”

Finishing off the day with playground free play, the rainbows were happily exhausted.

Thanks to all the volunteers involved in arranging the event. It was marvellous day of making wonderful memories both for the rainbows and their leaders!
