Here are a few of the activities that have been happening in June:
2nd June: 14th Coulsdon Guides had the perfect weather to try SUP and windsurfing at Mercers Lake, followed by a bbq and smores, all had a brilliant time with some even managing to get their sails up when wind surfing and all stood up on the paddleboards and all enjoyed cooling off too!
3rd June: The Guides had a fabulous day at the YOU event, we had Guides in all the tops teams. Girlguiding Croydon led the archery event and everyone managed to hit the target (except the Mayor).

6th June: The 14th Coulsdon brownies and guides had a very productive evening on Monday. We spent the evening in Coulsdon Recreation ground doing a thorough litter pick. We managed 7 bags of rubbish despite there having been a massive clear up only the evening before after a community picnic (only found out about the event after it was too late to change our date). The Croydon “Street champion ” co ordinator received this lovely message the following day ” I was on my way home yesterday afternoon through my park – just thinking – it’s sunny – the park could do with a bit of tidying. But I wasn’t needed, there was a Girl Guide troop all dressed in their Hi-Viz jackets having great fun litter picking. I could still hear them giggling when I was home.”
7th June: A group of rainbows had a fabulous eveing meeting the reptiles from @mitchamzoo

18th June: 1st Shirley Rainbows walked to the Shirley Co-op for Shop ‘til you drop (Live Smart stage 2)

28th June: P L O G G I N G – to pick litter whilst jogging!
As part of our superhero theme this term, 1st Purley & Kenley Rainbows enjoyed an evening out in the sunshine collecting litter around our meeting place, We went from satisfaction at being able to collect so much to indignation of how much they found close to bins – and look at how much they collected in under an hour!
